Want to Get Naked?

NakedExperiment - Experiments in NudityAccording to recent statistics, more than half of Britain’s population have some level of an exhibitionist streak. That varies from thinking mooning is cheeky fun to full-on nudism. In everyday life, most of us don’t get to be naked in front of other people or see other people naked. Most of the population miss out on that experience for most of their lives.

NakedExperiment.com’s Naked Experiments have been running for some time but now we are opening up the application form again so more people can apply to take part in this exciting and naked opportunity.

In order to avoid applicants who have no intention of attending an event in real life (that happens a lot), the application page is only open to Naked Experiment Community Supporters this time.

UK’s only Nudist Pub Under Threat

The Coach and Horse, a pub in Soho, London, believed to be the first and only pub in the country to have a nudist licence, is under threat of takeover by one of the large chain brands. I think it’s safe to say that a national chain is not going to go along with naked events!

NakedExperiment’s Inspiration

The NakedExperiment concept took several years to develop into the website that it is today. The media likes to present the world as either mainstream or porn, with nothing in between, but we all know that’s not what the world is like. Lots of us, probably most, either like to see people naked, be seen naked or both. It can be art, a challenge, a bit of cheeky fun, exhibitionism or a mix of these.

It’s fun to experiment, stretch your boundaries, explore a curiosity or sometimes just push your limits and challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone. This is what this community is all about, but it took a while to get here. If you are interested in seeing a selection of videos which inspired the creation of this community, we’ve put together the key videos in a collection that you can buy, download and keep for just $8.95 (roughly £7). Any money raised from this collection goes towards the running costs of this community.

Naked in a Bristol Bar

Nude people in a Bristol Window

Here’s an interesting nudity project that took place in Bristol, UK, this Thursday (15th November). Artist Claudio Ahlers recruited eight volunteers to appear naked in Corner 77, a venue in the Stokes Croft area of the city. The eight participants prepared themselves in private prior to being unveiled to the passing public outside.

The artist said the aim of the project was a celebration of common humanity, to show people of varying ages as their genuine selves. As is often the way, male participants completely outnumbered their female counterparts. Even though male nudity seems far more likely to cause offence, women are still less likely to be brave or confident enough to be seen naked in public.

To quote the artist, “Yes, nudity is often considered shocking but it has power and shared humility. Vulnerability shows our genuine selves.”

It would be nice to find out about such installations and events before they happen for once! If you hear about any naked events, please let us know ASAP.

Site Revamp

Regular visitors will already know that the community site is already up and running with new members every day and a rapidly increasing collection of photos and videos. Now the non-community area is on the way too. With the new design, what used to be two sides of the same site are now separate sites running side-by-side. The community site has forums, video and photo uploads, private messaging and much more, all on the topic of nudity, getting naked and seeing other people naked. This other side of the site is a sort of nude news blog with some reviews thrown in eventually.

We’re working towards the big launch with a loose target of Saturday 17th November, but that date has already slipped twice.
