Apologies if I’ve missed this but, why are members’ profile details not visible?

It was a good way of, possibly, arranging a face to face meeting and/or find people with similar interests, like bi-men.

I think it has been like this since the new environment, but I’m not certain…

There’s no way of doing it when using Patreon for signups. Patreon’s system completely bypasses the profile form. It’s annoying but Patreon has saved us from SO many spam signups it’s been a massive help.

Thanks @Ed, understood and definitely worth doing.

Is there anyway of addressing this using a form in the site?

I can add a form like the one on the old site, but it’s a LOT of work and persuading anyone to fill it in is bordering on futile. I tried for a while on the old site after we’d moved over to Patreon and the success rate was less than 2%.

Agreed, just not worth the effort

I guess back to the original reasons for the post.

Locations – I think from memory we are quite a distance apart.

I live near north wilstsire but if anyone ever wants to meet on good nights I can travel about an hour maybe slightly more but only really at night.

Would be cool.to.meet.someone off here at some point in real life.

Years ago, I wondered about dividing the country into regions and then getting everyone to say which one they are in so we could organise some meetups, experiments etc., but it quickly turned out everyone has hugely different distances they are willing to travel.

Later I added location (nearest town I believe) to profiles so everyone would be able to get some idea of house close people are but that met with limited success. Also, had some people from the US upset that I was not willing to run experiment sessions in the US.

I’m still looking for a solution to the meeting up thing but not found one yet.
