Forum posts I think are only notified if you subscribe to them. You can subscribe to individual theads (above the first post in the thread). I’m still (within the last week) receiving notifications in the forums I’m subscribed to so I think at least those are still being sent out.
It’s also possible to subscribe to forums (at the top of the index for each forum), but this probably only relates to the opening post of new threads. New threads default to unsubscribed, so if you don’t subscribe to new threads when you see them, you would progressively get less notifications.
There are additional settings in the user profile (profile > settings > email). My feeling is that these may have stopped. Many times I see a notification about a message when I arrive on site but I don’t recall receiving an email notification recently
If all of the above are “on”, if may help to whitelist @nakedexperiment.com in your mail reader *and* in the settings of your mail host, but spam these days makes up 45% of all emails. As Ed says, many mail hosts try to cope by binning all messages from certain IP addresses instead of moving them to spam. Whitelisting in your mail host *might* (or might not, depending on the mail host) bypass their binning, but whitelisting in your mail reader can only work if the mail host hasn’t binned it first.

I get them still on the odd occasion I get a DM.
Have you checked the settings here to make sure you haven’t turned off email notifications. Go to Profile Then settings Then email.
Then check your email settings, sometimes wlwhen something is in spam you can accidentally hit block all notifications from sender or something like that when trying to read the email. There should be a block sender’s list somewhere in your email settings. See if NE address is in there

All the settings are set to receive email notifications for all the things.
I’ve subscribed to this thread and it’s also not providing emails updates
Can anyone confirm that the feature is working, or is it just me?
It clearly has worked for me reliably previously,
And yes as I said I checked the various spam/junk and searched through my email for messages. It’s recently stopped for me.

It’s not just you, Kate (@patreon_47443057). I’ve had a few people (probably 15-20) complain they get no e-mails from the site. It was a massive pain when registration was done on the site as new members had to click on an e-mail link. That doesn’t work if you don’t receive the e-mail. Doing it via Patreon has solved that problem for me.

I’ve not received any email notifications since Sunday.
But the Full Headers of Sunday’s email contain a definite clue about why many mail servers are rejecting NE messages:
Authentication-Results: incoming_mbo;
dkim=none;
dmarc=fail reason=“SPF not aligned (relaxed), No valid DKIM”
header.from=nakedexperiment.com (policy=none);
spf=pass (incoming_mbo: domain of u767186973@srv582.main-hosting.eu designates 23.83.218.246 as permitted sender)
smtp.mailfrom=u767186973@srv582.main-hosting.eu;
arc=pass (“mailchannels.net:s=arc-2022:i=1”)Although my mail server did not reject that particular message, many mail hosts now consider dkim and dmarc to be compulsory. Even those that aren’t so strict will nevertheless be more likely to reject a message based on other criteria if dkim and dmarc are not present and correct.
Hostinger has a page explaining how to configure those settings, at https://www.hostinger.com/support/email/hostinger-email-dns-records/

My observation: if it’s a new day, and I get new messages, I’ll get an email notification. If it’s the same day, the same 24 hours, and I get new DMs, I don’t get an email notification.

Some forums do work in a way that’s similar to that, though it’s usually more “real time” than day by day:
- The next reply after your previous visit will prompt a notification email
- After that, no further notifications will be sent until after your next visit.
I don’t think this forum aims to work that way though:
- Forums which do that usually mention in the notification message that there will be no further notifications until you next visit
- With that scheme, whenever you visit the site and find any qualifying new messages, you will always have been sent a notification about one of those messages.

By coincidence, mine have just started again — including notification of your own message and another that was posted yesterday.
But as before, neither of those new emails pass dkim validation, so it’s not surprising that receiving mail servers bin them. I don’t know why they only do that intermittently but it’s always going to be a problem if the messages they receive don’t contain dkim validation.
