Transferring the MDL from the old site to this one is a massive job.

It’s been pointed out that transferring photos of participants from the old site to the new site when those participants are no longer active (or never sign into this new site) is probably unethical. Therefore, I will only transfer the actual photos of people who let me know here that they consent to the transfer. For everyone else, I will just post X’s without links to photos.

I agree that you can’t post photos of people who don’t explicitly consent to moving the lift over here — but the X in place of a photo is also a question? You had a thread on the old community about not wanting to continue the option to be listed in the MDL without visible photo as evidence. It looks likely to start off as a very short list.

It will have to be unlinked Xs. I can’t just delete their achievement.

If the new community is essentially the old one in a new location, I can see it making sense to carry on recognising past achievements. If the decision was to, in future, include publishing a photo as a necessary part of completing the dare, then unlinked X would just mean “past achievement recognised”. It wouldn’t be relevant to newly completed dares. That would make sense.

The original argument was that we should only be posting pictures of age verified people. For that reason it would make sense to only readd them if they become active and pass the verification.
